Your student can receive dental care at the Neighborcare Health School-Based Health Center located at Madison Middle School on Friday, October 22. The dental program uses portable equipment and all procedures are performed by our licensed dentists and dental assistants. Any student registered with the Health Center is eligible to receive care. No student will be denied services due to inability to pay.

Madison Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 for students who were absent and those who ordered a picture packet and are unhappy with their image.

Parents, please remember to send your purchased packet back to school with your students to hand off to the photographer.

Madison 6th and 8th graders will participate in the Healthy Youth Survey in their Science classes on Friday, October 29. The survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, sexual behaviors, abuse, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services. Survey results are used by schools, communities and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous. Parents may request their student opt out of the survey by emailing Sue Quigley, 8^th grade counselor.

Our Library Book Fair is here and it’s a great chance to purchase books for the holiday season while raising funds for our school library. This year students can purchase from 160 hot titles, including two by our very own Madison teacher, Ms. Russell (Items #64 and #121 on the order form). And don’t forget, 30% of every purchase made will come back to our Library to help us purchase new books for Madison students!

HOW TO ORDER: Students can order online via SchoolPay. Be sure to include the Item # and Book Title for each book you’d like to purchase. If you don’t want to order online, you can submit the Order Form with cash (exact amount) or check (payable to Madison Middle School) to Ms. Bell in the Library or Ms. Penner in the Main Office. The order deadline is Tuesday, November 16.

BOOK DELIVERY: Book Fair orders will be delivered to students in Advisory during the last week of school before winter break. If you are purchasing books for your student as a holiday gift and would like to keep them a surprise, please email Ms. Bell to arrange another time to pick up.
