President: Sarah Dillard

Sarah loves connecting with friends new and old, supporting public education, being a wife and mother. She has lived in Seattle for 14 years. Without extended family in Seattle, the West Seattle community has become a surrogate family to the Dillards! Sarah & Martin’s 3 children all attend neighborhood public schools: Lafayette, Madison and West Seattle High School! She teaches 3rd grade at Lafayette. Sarah is filled with gratitude to live and work in such a wonderful community!

Amber hails from the great state on Minnesota and has called West Seattle home for 12 years. She has a son in sixth grade and a daughter at Lafayette Elementary. She previously served on the PTA at Lafayette. In her free time, she can be found playing with her kiddos, reading PEOPLE magazine, or playing soccer.

Dr. Dalya Perez is the mama to a 6th grader at Madison and a 3 year old at Alki Beach Academy. She is a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategist, educator, and qualitative researcher with expertise in Critical Race Theories and frameworks. She is a Program Manager at Microsoft for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Mixed Reality where she works to advance inclusive hiring, to transform culture, and to influence equity in products. She is the daughter of an immigrant father from the Philippines and a refugee mother who is a Sephardi Jew from Egypt. Her research has focused on the intersections of race and gender for men of color; historical consciousness and erasure for Filipinx Americans, and the complexity of Jews of Color in the U.S.

I am Sundi and I am thrilled to join the Madison PTSA this year! We have a 6th grader at Madison and a 4th grader at Genessee. As educators my wife and I both heavily interested in public education and education policy.
