Meet the Board

Co President: Amber Zeddies

Amber hails from the great state of Minnesota and has called West Seattle home for 14 years. She has a daughter in sixth grade and a son in eighth grade at Madison. She previously served on the PTA at Lafayette Elementary. In her free time, she can be found playing with her kiddos, thinking about global health, reading books and PEOPLE magazine, or playing soccer.   

Co President: Nate Miller (President@MadisonPTSA.com)Nate has lived in West Seattleite for the last 14 years. Although he was born in Kansas, Nate identifies as a Californian, having moved there two months after entering this world. Nate’s son is an 8th-grader and his daughter is in 6th. In his free time Nate enjoys soccer, swimming, cooking and LOUD music. He is excited to become a more engaged member of the Madison community.

Dave Bodmer, a Seattle native, has a son in 8th grade and has proudly served on the Madison PTSA board for the last 3 years. When he’s not working, he enjoys sports, travel and volunteer work. He is looking forward to supporting the fantastic staff, students and families at Madison again this year.

Reneé Gratzer is a mom to an 8th and 7th grader at Madison. She has over 18 years experience in sales strategy, product marketing, and team leadership in the technology sector. She currently leads Go-to-market strategy and industry programs for a healthcare technology company. Reneé enjoys being involved in the community, traveling, watching her boys play sports, and staying active – running, pilates, and yoga are favorites.

Merrick is originally from New York, attended college in California and has lived in West Seattle for over 15 years. I have one son at Madison and 2 at Genesee Hill. I love traveling and a great book. I’m passionate about racial equity and the emotional well-being of all students. I look forward to engaging with the Madison Community this year.

Victoria is from Ottawa, Ontario and has called West Seattle home for seven years. She loves writing, reading, and nature. She works as a special education teacher and cares deeply about inclusion, equity, and reading intervention. She has one kid in third grade at Genesee Hill and one in seventh grade at Madison, and is happy to help serve the Madison community by helping with their website.

Margaux has been a West Seattleite for the last 15 years. She has a son in the eighth grade and daughter in sixth grade. Margaux previously served on the PTA at Genesee Hill Elementary as Secretary for the last two years. In her free time, she can be found walking around West Seattle listening to podcasts, spending time with her family and friends or thinking about her next possible travel adventure.

Music Boosters Co-Chair: Lacey Jenkins (musicboosters@madisonptsa.com)

Lacey has been a West Seattleite for 17 years, and is a born Washingtonian. This will be her fourth year as a Madison parent, with one 7th grade student currently attending Madison, and one recent Madison graduate, now in 9th grade at West Seattle High School. She is a musician and vocalist, and comes from a family of musicians, vocalists, and band directors, and is excited to carry on the tradition of supporting music education this year as the Co-Chair of the Madison Music Boosters. She is also committed to helping parents feel connected and informed as they navigate the many facets of being a parent of a middle school student, both in and outside of the music program.

Robin started her role as Music Booster Chair in 2019, and was thrilled to finally see two events return since the time she began serving on the Madison PTSA board: the 2023 Madison Music Swing Dance and Auction and the Music in the Parks Silverwood Theme Park trip.  Music played an important role in her life growing up and she enjoys watching as the young musicians refine their talents.  Robin loves spending time outside in nature with her three girls, all past or present MMS students.  You can also find her on the Ultimate Frisbee field either watching, coaching, or playing –  or snuggling with her three cats.

Co-Treasurers: Stephanie and Royce Bixby (Treasurer@MadisonPTSA.com)
Royce and Stephanie have a son in 8th grade and daughter in 6th grade this year. They both have backgrounds in youth and child development. Stephanie is a licensed family therapist with years of experience working in local schools. Royce is a registered architect who specializes in educational projects ranging from early childhood through higher education. They love to stay active, eat well, and live socially.

Legislative Liaison: Megan Atchison (Johnson)

Megan Atchison (Johnson) is the legislative liaison for the Madison PTSA and was formally the membership chair. Megan is passionate about education policy and holds a Masters in Public Administration working for the National Center for Homeless Education. Megan has lived in the Seattle area for 19 years and has 3 kids in high school this coming school year and a 7th grader at Madison. Her goal as the legislative liaison is to ensure the PTSA is informed of potential policies being passed by the school board and city council that impact K12 education as well as advocate for the needs of our students.
