Thursday, October 6. Parents and guardians are invited to hear a brief presentation and meet Madison’s administration team from 6:00-6:30 in the cafeteria. Then at 6:35 class begins! Parents and guardians will follow a mini schedule of their child’s day at school. Just 10 minute long classes and a few minutes to pass between each. You’ll have a chance to meet your child’s teachers and hear about the curriculum for the year. Students will bring home their easy to follow paper schedule for you to bring to school Thursday evening. This is an adult only event – no kids.

There's an Indigenous Book Collection in the Madison Library Catalog and a display at the library. I Am Native is a short film showcasing Seattle Public Schools' Native high school students and staff sharing their stories, hopes, and dreams for their future and Interconnected: The Effect of Climate Change on Indigenous Nations is a film produced by Nathan Hale High School graduate (2020) Rosie Port and her brother Gabe about environmental issues facing Indigenous culture. If I Go Missing by Brianna Jonnie is excerpts from a letter written by a 14-year-old Ojibwe teen. -
