IMPORTANT HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATES

Dear SPS families and staff,

We hope your start to the school year has been a healthy one! As we head into cold, flu, and now COVID-19 season, we want to share some important health and safety updates. COVID-19 Testing and Self-Reporting

Health officials predict COVID-19 case numbers to rise in the fall and winter. As we spend more time inside around others, our chance of getting sick greatly increases. Remember, frequent hand washing, covering coughs, and wearing masks can help prevent the spread of illness.

If students or staff aren’t feeling well, it’s important to stay home and test for COVID-19. If a test result is positive, the student or staff member should isolate at home and report their results on the CIC Health self-reporting page.

This school year, Seattle Public Schools (SPS) is also providing COVID-19 testing to students whose families give consent.

All SPS families were sent an email from CIC Health on Wednesday, Sept. 28 with a link to a consent form. If you haven’t already, please fill out the form. All families are strongly encouraged to provide consent. Please contact sps-testing@cic-health.com with questions.

Fall Vaccine Clinics

SPS is offering weekend and evening flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics for all students, staff, and families at schools until Sunday, Oct. 23.

Please see our list of upcoming SPS flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics for more information and to register for a clinic.

Kind regards,

Coordinated School Health
Seattle Public Schools
