VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Seattle Public Schools is seeking members for the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC reviews the district’s annual family engagement plan and advises the superintendent on family engagement practices.

The PAC elevates family caregiver voice and is a critical resource for improving school and district culture. We improve school and district culture through collaboration and partnership with district staff, the superintendent, and the school board.

Participants will be asked to make a commitment for two (2) consecutive school years for up to 8 to 10 hours per month, including a regular monthly meeting and other potential committee meetings. PAC members will determine the monthly meeting day and time that works best for all.

The application will be open until Nov. 18, for initial consideration. Selected applicants will be notified by email the last week of November. We plan to launch this year’s PAC with a Kick-Off Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 8.

The PAC application is available online and can be translated with the dropdown menu on the top right corner of the website. If you have questions or if an electronic application is a barrier, please email familypartnerships@seattleschools.org.

Thank you for your willingness to be of service. We look forward to receiving your application to join the PAC!

In service,

Charlena Moultine
