YOU ARE INVITED

On February 9th at 7 PM in the West Seattle High School Theater, the West Seattle High School PTSA is hosting a screening of RACE to Be Human, a must-watch  @impactful.co IndieFlix documentary that uses the power of student voice to provide a doorway into a courageous conversation about something that impacts all of us––race. The film explores racism, its impacts on the mental health of children and adults, and what can be done to change it. Though the lens of students, experts, and educators, the film examines micro-aggressions, allyship, the role of social media, and more. The screening will be followed by a student panel discussion, plus a bonus short film made WSHS junior Gaia Corvina capturing the experience of students of color at WSHS. This event is free and open to all WSHS and Madison parents and students (ages 10+), so make it a movie night and bring the entire family!

Note: The Madison PTSA will also be hosting a screening of RACE to be Human for the Madison school community on April 4th to provide families a second opportunity to view the film.
